Announcing the OTC Summer Training Camp

Get ready everyone!  It's time to refine your formrefresh your skills, and reset the bar even higher on what you can achieve! OTC Coaches David Wild and Sami Winter are headed to Oakland for our first OTC Summer Training Camp. It will be held the weekend of June 29–30 in Oakland and will be packed with everything triathlon and endurance sports training.  

Saturday kicks off the first day of camp with run form coaching drills, individualized instruction and correction as well as video analysis. We'll then hop in the pool for swim form video taping as well as a pool workout. We'll spend the afternoon with a discussion of nutrition and fueling with Clifton Duhon of NBS Nutrition and a lot of opportunities to ask questions about any and all things racing.

The cost for the weekend is $200, but OTC is offering discounts for early sign-ups:

SIGN UP AT: 2019 Training Plans

SUNDAY Schedule: Crown Beach in the am/Sports Basement upstairs mezzanine classroom in the afternoon.
Bring: Bike and riding gear, food/hydration, flat-fixing supplies, wetsuit/open water swim gear, towel and clothes/shoes to change into for afternoon session   

8:00 am: Meet at Crown Beach in Alameda, in the parking lot near the Kite Shack. Note: there's a $5.00 parking fee if the booth is attended.

8–9:30: Bike handling instruction. We'll tackle this often overlooked discipline and spend 90 minutes focused on cornering, balance, turning, handling and more.
9:30–11: Group ride, where you will have the opportunity to practice the techniques you just learned, as well as focus on a discussion of cadence, hills, gear selection and more.
11–12:30: Open water swim. We will discuss drafting, sighting, navigating turns and ways to keep calm and have a fantastic swim.
12:30–1:30: Quick picnic lunch and then head to Sports Basement for afternoon sessions.
1:30–3:00: Swim video analysis/technique discussion. 
3–5:00: Coaches will lead a discussion of the mental side of triathlon, how to integrate training into your life and answer final questions.
