As many of you know, we have partnered with Oakland Run Co. this year to provide volunteers for their major races, including the Oaktown Half!
The Oaktown Half is on Sunday August 11 and there are a wealth of volunteer opportunities. This is a GREAT race to volunteer for those people tapering for OTF. This is also a GREAT race to volunteer for if you HAVE NOT volunteered at a race this year yet.
Here is the list of positions. See below for details on each position.
- 2 Bike course marshals
- At least 10 people to run the OTC AID STATION at Mile 4
- At least 5 people to be course marshals throughout the course
- At least 5-10 people to do packet pickup on August 7, 8, 9, and 10.
Volunteers will be entered into a lottery for comp'd race entries including the Turkey Trot. TWO LUCKY FRIDAY VOLUNTEERS will be eligible to win a comp'd 5K or comp'd half race entry for the Oaktown half that weekend. SO, you can volunteer and RACE FOR FREE!
